I woke up crampy today !! This is because I had to sleep on the couch. I have been doing this now for the past three weeks. Oh...did I tell you that wifey delivered a bouncing baby boy ! This is our third child. We had 2 adorable girls before now. The thing is that we would have stopped at that, but wifey kept inisiting that she had to give me a boy. Not that I mind, seriously guys a child is a child so I dont know why all the bouhaha about a male child being the ultimate. So what now happens to the female child? Every child is as important as the other. But In our society today we believe that not having a male child does not make one complete. My wife falls into this category. I kept telling her that I dont mind and I am okay with my lovely daughters. The thing is that I have always wanted a female child as my first child so when we had my first child and she was a girl I was filled with joy. And then came the second, a girl again, it was then my wife started:
Wife: Honey lets just try again and see if this one will be a boy.....
Me: baby i thot we agreed that we are having just 2 kid?
Wife: well 2 or 3 whats the difference......lol.
Well this was how we started on the third missonary journey. Before then, wifey had made wide consultations, with her doctor...and she has been well tutored on how to go about it. She even went to the extent of bringing home an old chinese chart (given to her by her colleague at the office) that is used in getting your preferred sex of the child you want by tallying the age of the mother and the month of conception of the baby to give you your preffered sex...hmmmm. Na wah oo all this one for boy....lol.Well so it went, we were using both scientific and ancient techinques.....Now the doctor had told her that, its the male sperm that swims faster than the female but dies quickier. So the thing is that if when a couple copulates on the day of ovulation not before but on the day, theres every possibility that the child would be a boy as it is possible that the male sperm would get there quickier than the female. Anyways, na so we come start am oo. Trust my wife....the month her age tallies with the month for a male child....she will start calling on her day of ovulation....honey where are you.....you ought to be home by now....haba wifey !!! anything the matter? Look you this man if you dont come soon there will be trouble in this house....cos im ovulating right now and I need you to come perform your duties. Na wah ooo. And so it went until well it happened. Somewhere along the line she did a scan on one of the days she went for her ante-natal and the doctor at the hospital asked her if she wanted to know the sex of the child. She was apparently scared and she said NO....Well I had to insist on knowing and it was then the doc told us we had a boy. My madam nor gree believe until the day of delivery.....lol
Anyways we thank God we now have a boy. But I cant help wondering if it were to be a girl what would my wife had done. I asked her one day and then she reminded me of a former governor ( Nor be my mouth una for hear am o) who had four girls and was obviously not satisfied with that. He claimed he loved his wife but then again he needed an heir apparent to his fiefdom so he went an impregnated a girl whp now gave him a boy. According to my wife Mr. Ex Governor really loved Ex madam first lady but because of the need for a male child away match don turn to home game as mama boy is now wife number 2. So you see no need to take chances. So guys what wud you do if you were Mr. Ex guvnor, wud you go out there to get a male child or wud rather take it as it is.
